San Antonio Express-News: Energy relationship between Texas, Mexico touted at energy summit

Mexican officials Thursday touted their nation’s connections with the U.S. energy industry, ties that have strengthened recently despite continuing trade frictions with the Trump administration.

U.S. companies are exporting record amounts of natural gas to Mexico, where demand is expected to increase 27 percent by 2031 as the country moves its power sector to the cleaner-burning fuel, Mexican officials said at a gathering of industry and government representatives in San Antonio.
